Our Winery

Roots in the Aragonese mountains

Bodegas Zarén is born from the winemaking heritage of generations who have cultivated Garnacha in the lands of Calatayud. In Cervera de la Cañada, at the foot of the Sierra de Armantes, our vineyards extend between 600 and 700 meters altitude.

Each vine tells a story of resistance and adaptation to the terrain, extreme climate, and the passage of time. Zarén is the fruit of that heritage: a wine that reflects the identity of its land.

Minimal intervention, maximum expression

We believe in wine as a pure expression of terroir. Our philosophy is based on absolute respect for the vine and careful winemaking that preserves the authentic character of mountain Garnacha.

Manual harvest, rigorous selection in the vineyard, and winemaking that seeks elegance over power. Zarén is an honest wine, without artifice, that speaks of its origin.

A landscape that defines the wine

Zarén's vineyards are located in the Calatayud Denomination of Origin, one of Spain's most singular wine regions. The extreme altitude, slate and limestone soils, and the influence of the Moncayo wind create unique conditions for Garnacha.
